Happy New year!
I am so glad we can all push reset and start this new year with a clean slate because 2017 was an asshole and I’m over it! I’m also over my skin so I’m getting new skin! We have been very blessed with this blog and companies sending us products to review. In late November after posting some very real and unattractive pictures of myself on social media, immediately following my latest laser treatment, I received a package. In the box were a plethora of different products, as well as, a lot of reading information about them and the doctor that sent them to me. Her name is Dr. Holly Cutler, widely known as “The Skin Saint”, who is a licensed medical aesthetician for 20 years and nationally certified in lasers. After reading up on her and doing some research I realized that she is the real deal, having appeared as a skin expert on tons of television shows. What else I found interesting, is that she shares her own skin story of how she, with the help of her husband who is a doctor, fixed her heavily acne scarred face by working together from the inside out. I love before and after stories and she looks stunning, so my ears are wide open to anything she says. What’s different about her is she didnt care if I ever posted or blogged about her products. She honestly just wants to help me. She insisted on having a skype appointment and this lasted for over an hour. She asked me questions I’ve never been asked before by any other skin doctor. She told me her husband Dr. Doug Cutler wanted to help me as well. Dr cutler is a renowned naturopathic physician and the two have merged their businesses together to become the ultimate state of the art, award winning, rejuvenation destination. After our skype session Dr. Holly decided that the inflammation in my skin was probably coming from inside of me. She said it seemed like a vascular problem. She then offered to fly me out to Michigan to see her. She came up with a plan for my skin and wanted me to see her Husband to find out what’s going on internally. I am a little scared that I might be allergic to wine and or salt and that would just kill me. Dr. Holly had me do blood work and fill out about 2 hours of VERY thorough online questionnaires. It’s very rare, especially in LA where I live, to find a doctor that truly wants to help you and it’s not just about the almighty dollar or publicity. I chose to blog about this because if in my skin journey I can help someone else with theirs, then my work will be so much more rewarding.
So I leave this Thursday and I will be back on the following Monday. I will be documenting my trip and sharing before and after pictures down the line. I’m excited to be starting this new year with new skin because when you look good you feel good and I’m ready to feel good again.
